Yesterday, my rat, Badger, passed away. I'd already had the idea for this sculpt but changed the rat color in honor of Badger. He was an absolute sweetheart and will be greatly missedI love when my rats snuggle up against my neck. Even better when they have something cozy to burrow in, like a hoodie or scarf!
Handsculpted from Premo sculpey, 2.5 inches tall

My friend has to put her oldest down soon... She's suffering from some sort of tumor under her arm and there's no way she can make money for the surgery... Baunilah has a very short time left with us... As do Oreo and Ginger(Ginger isn't mine) but Oreo is youngest so I have hope

I feel for you...on Monday we had to put down our 17-year-old female cat. She had been suddenly going downhill for the last couple of months...lost a lot of teeth, drooling, unable to clean her fur, and finally mom discovered a lump growing on her jaw. So Monday she went to the vet, and he said it was cancer and unlikely to get better. So mom made the decision to put her to sleep there...not only because it was the best thing, but because she just couldn't handle a cat with cancer on top of a daughter (moi) with cancer too. Before she took Scamper, she called our neighbor over, and we both said goodbye to Scamp because it was very unlikely she was coming back, and it was true. So we have a hole here...keep epecting to hear her meowing every time the cheese container is opened.
Our other cat, however, as soon as mom took out Scamper's bed and washed every cover, blanket, and whatnot she could find to get rid of the drool traces, kind of wandered about looking for her, then decided that the interloper of the last five years (we took Scamper in five years ago when her owner passed; up till then our male cat had been an only cat for ten years) was gone at last and has taken over all his old spots as the king of the roost...

So sorry to hear about your ratty. I always say it's the only flaw in them, that they don't live as long as we wish they would. My old rat Kaiser loved snuggling into my neck...or anywhere really, little nightmare!
