Finally! this drawing....this....GAH! it took me a lot of time! those details...those books.....I swear this made me feel awesome and angry at the same time xD I just used pencils, everything was colored with them.

Me tomo..unas 2 semanas! claro, no dos semanas continuas, sino que, ir pintando un poco día a día, y quedo así! usé muuuuuuchos colores la verdad hehe digamos que el mínimo fue de 3 colores para pintar una cosa..y máximo de 7 para otras (como esos ladrillos)

And yep! they're just colored pencils! a lot of them xD you see, every colour of this drawing was made by mixing between 3 and 7 colours

And, the glowing effect! i wanted to add shadows and light effects on everyone here, but Lumas are always glowing and Rosalina is kind of magical, in many ways, so i wanted to leave her like that C:

I especially adore the glow of her hair and dress. It feels as if the wisdom she attains from her reading would make her brighter in the literal sense. And apart from that - never mind that hard time of building up an artwork which might make you to tear your hair out (and I speak from my own experience) as long is the result was worth the effort. And in this case, it clearly was.

(First of all, thanks for you comment, i love when you guys tell me what you think/feel
And...wow, you got me! When i started to color this drawing i wanted it to look well done, you know, the light and shadows very present and detailed ( at least what i can do about that) But, When i was working on Rosalina i felt that she wouldn't need those shadows. To me she's light, she shines in the darkness. And my way of seeing her is almost exactly the one you have. Even her hair, i needed to use her skin color to make it more like the silver blonde she has, not a yelowish version of it.
And..of course, those books were killing me xD but when i finished, i realized that everything was worth of it C:

Awww...this picture is so brilliant, and so lovely to look at. Just look at Rosalina reading in her personal library, with the lumas giving her light. Makes me think of how a RPG wizard would pass time to study his or her magic books.

And ...you're right, now i see her, she actually is like a magician. Geez, nintendo has great ideas, but their games are kind of limited about the characters themselves (except RPG mario games)

She's kinda like a Mario version of Glinda from The Wizard of Oz. I remember one of the Toads of the Toad Brigade once mistook her as a witch. Maybe she's a sorceress or a mage.

Rosalina have and use her wand for a reason. Obviously, she have powerful magical powers. Maybe she's a good witch just like Glinda. Well, Mario is the main protagonist of the Mario series and the flagship mascot of Nintendo for a reason.
