Description
Fungeon is the second of a 7-day draw project for making Fakémon Eeveelutions. Fungeon is a earth-type evolution, inspired by rabbits, fungi, and deer. Bet you can't guess where the name comes from! Fungeon are evolved by Sun Stones, and have a minimum level of 36 to evolve.
Fungeon are solitary and standoffish creatures. Once evolved, they become distant from their trainers, preferring to spend their days underground, searching the mycelium roots to find new mushroom species. They are intelligent and couragous, and many human scientists believe that they are bored by humans. They rarely interact, and are not very territorial. When they meet, they instead seem to communicate with each other, perhaps telling each other where exciting mushrooms are. They have an odd habit to collect interesting habit to collect said mushrooms and put them on their body. Ancient Fungeon are said to be covered in rare and beautiful mushrooms.
I went for this design and name because I felt that though mushrooms are not exactly ground, the Fungeon itself is made of a dirt mixture, and mushrooms are known for being hardy and expansive, as well as being, well, close to the ground (at least in many species).
