Description
Well, we set about training hard for the Veilstone gym. During training, Dia learned Attract.

She never used it in an actual battle, although I THINK she tried it out...It wasn't long before she opted to learn a different move.

I dunno. I think Dia has a crush on Mo - she's certainly his best friend, along with Rudder. And he likes being with her too. Her favorite perch is his left shoulder. Rudder, I think, knows, even though Mo...appears, oblivious. Rudder gives Mo knowing looks sometimes, and the Monferno grimaces.

Talking to Rudder about it, he says that he thinks Dia likes Mo a lot - and he thinks Mo likes her too. "But he's still too self conscious about his appearance." He told me with a shrug. "I'm pretty sure he likes Dia more than he thinks, but he's not letting himself think past that. Part of him sort of believes he's too ugly for that sort of thing. Maybe part of it, is he's a Fire Type, and he's scared he'll hurt her. It's a crying shame, I tell you. Luckily, Dia's not one for pining away over something, so before too long she'll give up and just confront Mo about it."

Gilly and Spirit, luckily, are too busy thinking up Fighting type puns and jokes for the gym, and thus haven't noticed. Otherwise, I'm sure poor Mo wouldn't hear the end of it.

Sir Calvin, on the other hand, surprisingly had near the same opinion as Rudder. When I asked him if he noticed anything odd happening between them, he said, "It's always springtime somewhere, isn't it?"

I guess it is.

In other news, Gilly JUST evolved into a Staraptor! Wow! She's as big as Rudder now, just not as wide, of course. With some more training, I bet we could challenge the gym tomorrow!
