xD i wish I wasnt.. i dislike it.. I want to do soft shading.. but I havent found a sufficient way to do it on Ps.. everyone I know uses Sai or open canvas and they have brushes that layer color for you without much effort..
Opacity seems to be my only option soft coloring.. I dunno I just cant get it to look good

Unfortunately, I think Sai is probably your best bet for soft shading. Photoshop is lacking somewhat in good blending tools, so all you've got is airbrush blending, which tends to look a little... well, digital.

its do-able.. just.. takes a really long time to get a nice effect that i am going for. ick. I have to play more with soft shading to get the effect i want.. unfortunately, time i dont have either.

I hear ya there. It's so hard to get everything not to come out looking super-shiny and clearly freaking digital. >>; I envy the people who can create painterly effects on the computer... I've done liek... almost no digital almost all semester. DX

sigh~ I'll just work with it a little more to get the effect that I want.. the cell shading doesnt look awful by any sense.. I think I am starting to get the hang of it. but I dont like it being so.. shiny.. like you said. ick.

you know how much I love this but allow me to gush some more in case you forgot hehe. OMFG. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, I LOVE YOU EVEN MORE, AND I'M DYING AT HOW MUCH THIS DRAWING PLEASES MY EYES. XD seriously, there are so many things I adore about this! i love your coloring; the skin and the clothes look so amazing with that shading and Gamzee's boxers are beautiful. *3* I also love their postures, faces, hair and sdfjhsjkdfhsdkffff OKAY BASICALLY I LOVE EVERYTHING.

*shrug* Probably a bit older, yeah. I think Gamzee would probably be the most likely of any of the boy trolls to let himself be sexy. This is so adorable! I absolutely love the shading and how you drew the hands! Aaaand the fact that Gamzee's boxers are showing, and that his mouth and nose remind me of Murdoc from Gorillaz. Loooove. c:
