Which type of moray is it? I can't tell from the coloring (great job on the deeper water blue-out), and it looks like it has stripes going across the belly instead of down the sides, which is unusual. I've never seen that patterning before. Your realism is so good it's driving me nuts not knowing which species this is.

Ah, that makes sense, then. The jaw and throat structure and extra set of teeth in the center are typical of moray eels, and with the underwater environment I'd assumed that's what it is. So the belly stripes are actually the broader belly scales - like many types of snakes have... Makes sense now. Thanks for taking the time to explain. ^_^Β
