Description I know this photo seems to be quite unnatural, but it is untouched - no colour manipulation, no contrast/lightness manipulation and so on. It came out like this. The light comes from the house located in this forest. One day I'll buy this house ^^

When I saw the image I thought it was a well done photo manipulation... then I read the description... The old saying is indeed true, fact is stranger than fiction. Quite the amazing shot.

Thanks I think it came out like this because of low clouds and light of the city dispersed and reflected by them. And this plus long exposure time gave an effect of intensified orange colour.

Wow this is really amazing.
I love it when pictures can remain unmanipulated and still be surreal.
Was this taken at sunrise, or sunset?
I keep forgetting that that's snow. In this light, it looks like sand.
I wish we had snow here. It's been, like, 50 degrees Farenheit nearly all winter.
I miss the snow!

thanks! It wasn't sunrise nor sunset. If I remember well, it was more or less 8 p.m. and the source of this light was a halogen installed on the fence of this house. It was activated by a movement (photocell), so I made a little walk there and activated the halogen in order to have light effects This orange colour (In my opinion) was caused by the delicate orange colour of the city glow, which was reflected by low clouds, and then intesified by long time of exposure (3.2 s)

I guess that makes sense. The clouds turn orange at night here too. I live a few miles away from a city.
It's really a very awesome picture though.
