From the new series Transformers Prime, I give you Arcee. This is the first time a femme has actually been in the main cast of Autobots coming to earth. I have to say it’s about freaking time.

She also isn’t all overly girly like the way she was originally designed. I am so happy she’s not pink. When I was first looking at the picture I couldn’t figure out who the blue bot was because the list said Optimus, Ratchet, Cliffjumper, and Arcee. I was looking for something small and pink. I finally realised that the blue one was Arcee and was so happy to find that she was (surprise surprise) actually equal to the mechs! I’m dare I say it, impressed.

This stamp had to happen as a celebration of a step forward in female equality.

Now I know that in my last stamp I was talking about how transformers weren’t originally suppose to have genders, but if they’re going to be there, than they might as well get it right.
