Very in tune with the feelings of those around him. Ethan does his best to be a reliable friend, always putting his own friends before himself. He dislikes conflict and makes it a mission of his to help everyone get along with each other. (He comes off as meddlesome at times because of this, but he has good intentions!) He loves finding the good in others but often has a hard time finding the good in himself. When in a funk he tends to become rather clingy to the people close to him, paranoid that if he let them be they'll lose interest in him begin thinking of him as more of an annoyance than anything else.

Background
Ethan left his stable job in the city as a piano instructor to start a new life on Seseri island, bringing along only his instruments, clothing and Snowflake, his goldfish. Two months prior to moving, he'd had a falling out with his fiancee. Ethan kept the blue feather he planned on proposing to her with as a necklace in hopes that he'll find another chance in love in the future -and with so many lovely people on these Islands it's only a matter of time before Ethan finds himself fancying someone. (Actually, he's already developed a crush or two but it's far too soon for him to be able admit that to himself...)

Ethan's apartment is located in Lyrica town on Seseri and can easily be found by following the sound of the music he often plays on his keyboard or guitar. When not in his apartment, Ethan can often be found in the music hall at the center of the island. He also likes to frequent a family restaurant on Nomie that his good friend Almerich runs (usually staying over his place whenever he and Snowflake make the trip over.)

Fun Facts
-He likes playing the piano the most, but he's dabbled in guitar
-He can tie cherry stems in his mouth in 45 seconds flat
-Likes to laugh at his own silly faces in the mirror
-Unless the occasion specifically calls for a change, Ethan will wear socks and sandals just about anywhere

Snowflake's story
Snowflake was at one time, Ethan's treasured pet goldfish. As a child, Ethan's parents didn't allow him to keep any animals such as cats or dogs -reasoning that he was too preoccupied with his schoolwork and piano lessons to be able to take care of one properly. Ethan was saddened by this, but didn't argue. He loved taking piano lessons and didn't want to have to choose between a pet and his keyboard.

On his 4th birthday, he and his parents attended a local carnival. Reluctant to get on the children's rides without his mommy and daddy, Ethan was content to peruse the various game booths and food stalls. One of which stood out to 4 year old Ethan immediately. It was rather small in comparison to the shooting galleries to the left and right of it and had a kiddie pool settled in front of it. Excited at the prospect of a possible swim this late in the year, Ethan pulled his parents' sleeves in the direction of the pool frantically. Once there, Ethan stared curiously at the odd smelling water in the pool. There were fish inside the pool, dashing about in every which way. Weird.

Looking up at the older lady running the booth, Ethan asked why she'd bother keeping them in such an odd manner. Chuckling at his naivety, the lady explained. The point of the game was to catch a goldfish using only a mirror and a small net. The net wasn't allowed to touch the water, the fish were to instead be lured into jumping into the net themselves by the light reflected from the mirror. A fish caught in the net could taken home as a prize. Ethan's eyes were likened to saucers at this news. Could he really take one home...? He looked up at his Father with pleading eyes who -miraculously- gave him the okay. Absolutely giddy at the prospect of finally getting his own pet, Ethan was barely able to hold his net and mirror steady. Carefully reflecting light into the pool, he waited patiently for a fish to jump into expectant grasp. Minutes upon passed, but Ethan stayed put. He was on a mission. Take home a fish or be dragged away crying.

Just when he was starting to think that things were going to take a turn towards the latter, one of the smaller fish flailed out of the water. Panicking to catch it, Ethan thrust his net forward quickly, just in time too, as the fish landed soundly in it. Staring at his catch in disbelief, Ethan grinned up at his parents who had painted smiles on their features. They hadn't thought he'd actually catch one. Oops.

That evening the family stopped by a local pet store to buy the fishy's necessities. Thrilled at having him all to himself, Ethan didn't hesitate to relocate his desk lamp in order to place Snowflake's bowl in it's stead. Every night from then on he would enthusiastically relay his days activities to the rather oblivious Snowflake. Every morning he'd insist on having Snowflake brought to the table to have breakfast. This routine continued out of force of habit for 19 years, up until Ethan made the decision to move Seseri Island.

Not long after moving to Seseri, Snowflake's age began to catch up with him, and one evening Snowflake inevitable ended up belly up. This left Ethan absolutely heartbroken; Snowflake had been his only constant friend throughout the years. He'd been with him through the worst and best of times unconditionally. Some would call him petty, but Ethan valued his goldfish as much more than a pet. Unable to bare letting him go, Ethan pleaded with the Wizard Lucine to bring him back somehow. Reluctantly, Lucine agreed, however he did much more than bring Snowflake back to life. Via a spell gone horribly wrong(or right) Snowflake was given a human body of a young boy.

Ethan was ecstatic about this -his best friend was saved and sentient at that!- and couldn't thank Lucine enough for what he'd done. Ethan now cares for Snowflake as one would a son or younger brother -the two are inseparable as always.
