Her beak looks almost full grown. You should take her to a pond and see if she co-mingles with the other ducks.

There is a pond not to far from where I live so if she does eventually decide to fly away she will definitely find it. I bought her a little hut with a run to live in in my back yard so cats and stuff can't get to her that I open every day so she has full run of the yard. I don't think she wants to leave but I would be happy to see her go free too!

I can't believe how fast they grow! She looks like an adult now but she still squeaks like a duckling.

She still squeaks too! I thought she would be quacking by now!

Wow, she's quite big now. Will you release her when she grows more?

I would love to release her but I think she has become to dependent on me for food... I am afraid that if I release her she will not be able to look after herself. If she did decide to fly away though I would be happy to see her go free! I just don't want to force her if she doesn't want to.

I understand. Does she eat grass?

No I feed her pellets now because my friend who raises ducks told me it was the best for them and I get her other treats every now and then like lettuce and strawberries..

I understand. I wonder how little ducks learn which plants are edible.

Me too.. I don't know how much is instinct and how much their mothers are supposed to teach them.

Maybe you'll find it on web. I've seen ducks eating grass and pineappleweed (about second I'm not sure if as food or against some problems).
