Happy Lunar New Year 2021 (新年快樂2021)! To celebrate the holiday, I give you my latest painting of 2021, “Riding a Bull (騎牛歸家)”. It is based off of a series of paintings called the Ten Ox. A pictorial portrayal of the ten stages of Buddhist enlightenment. The boy riding an ox has been an iconic theme in Chinese art from paintings to sculptures representing a buddhist’s journey to enlightenment.Related content
