This is just tremendously tense.
I say it time and again,
but just seeing a scene like this excites me,
not only because it has elements of the oblivious,
of innocence, and of malice and horror,
but because it's drawn very well.

Wouldn't be surprised if the girl turns out to be meaner than the monster. Who else would be casually getting water from a place like that if she wasn't dangerous herself? :-D

Awesome work dude, those ripples are impressive. Though I feel like it might read better if there was some visible water on the both sides of the swamp-creature thing's head.
