Thanks! I was surprised how popular this photo became. I think it worked because it was a typical overcast day in Vancouver and the clouds acted as a giant light defuser. I've heard macro/close up works best when you can minimize strong highlights and shadow.

That's great. And yeah..I've noticed that as well with the mirco. It's good to have natural light as long as it's not to bright!

Thanks! One of the things I love about photography is it is a continuous learning process. I think what aids the clarity here is the contrast as well as having a balanced depth of field, something I'm getting a better grasp of.
