Sorry for posting nothing but Pokemon and Steven universe this month, so have some Kirby stuff
Ok so according to director Shinya Kumazaki, Taranza stole the Dimension Mirror from Mirror World and gave it to Queen Sectonia as tribute (You had one job Shadow Kirby). The Queen herself personality change by excessive gazing into the Dimension Mirror. Guess DeDeDetour is canon then? Sad what happen to Sectonia but at least Kirby did not help in this mess

But even if that was true, (most likely is, but to me it sounds like something the was made up on the spot, something most creators like to do therefor making the word canon), she was still a kind and fair ruler, only after looking into the mirror repeatedly corrupted her.

Wait, why are they not treating King Dedede as the main villain of the Kirby games now? Every recent Kirby game I can think of has Dedede as an ally or mini boss now. King Dedede is also like my favorite character in Smash 4 (not that this has nothing to do with what we are talking about, I just though I should mention that).

Well, depends on point of view on if she is blameless for her actions, the mirror itself was not controlling her, but it was corrupting her mind . I myself think she was a victim because she was corrupted by a magical mean. In a way it similar to Yeta and mirror of Twilight shard.

Oh I know thats what I mean. She was simply not herself anymore, could be that her true self was possessed by shadow Sectonia. Not sure of the mirror works that way tho.
