After I'd (sort of) finished my last commission (which I might put up here sometime, I guess), and after I'd got my little 15-minute sketchy session out of the way, I was at a bit of a loose end.

The delectable Miss Hira politely requested (read: demanded in no uncertain terms, on pain of death/biting/other things) that I redraw one of my old pictures. Although the threat of nibbling did not seem too unappealing, I kinda liked the basic idea behind the old picture and decided to do it.

So... here it is. Took the best part of a day to do, with plenty of breaks for food and games and whatnot. I really didn't want to shade it "properly" (the grass was nightmarish to base colour, let alone anything else), so I decided to play about and do a simple white-highlight piece instead. As it turned out, I think that approach fitted the mood better anyway, so this would be one of the few instances in which being lazy really worked out nicely! It also means that I've managed to finish a picture without being immensely irritated with it, which makes a nice change.

And there you have it. Conclusive evidence that I'm in one of those weird moods where, when taking time off from doing lots of drawing for commissions, I'm... doing more drawing. XD
