This little aardwolf is chasing the sparkle termites in the sky!

This is my painting I just finished for my illustration three class. The assignment was to paint a creature either in space or a city/suburb environment. I wanted to do space, and once I saw this picutre I just had to do an aardwolf pup.

If you don't know, aardwolves are a species of hyena whose diet consists mainly of termites. I find them very elegant and beautiful, and I think they're so cool!

Image is 8x8 inches painted with acrylic paint on illustration board. Painting time was roughly five and a half hours.
