Description
By now I think 90% of my watchers know I suck at doing the social media thing...mostly because I loath typing.

I am here, faving everyday, though.

I have a pile of work I can load but it's all book-covers and other commercial works that is more about the commissioner than about my art. This is the first time in a long time that I've done something for myself, or more specifically for my daughter
I am currently a little over six months pregnant with a baby girl we named Willow.
Thus, mommy has decided to do some illustrations to welcome her!

The drawing is mixed media.
85% is traditional.
The base is pastel on like a sand color sugar paper.
The light flakes and halo are Potatoshop.
I was going to try and add the effects with acrylic paint but decided not to, just in case it damages my drawing.

Ideally I would have liked to paint the whole thing in oils but I can't while I'm still pregnant (too many chemicals and solvents that can be absorbed through the skin along with dodgy fumes).

I also intend to enter this in Elsa's contest Egil21 ...eventually when I feel like writing a journal.

To celebrate my Anniversary I want to suggest you a contest!
I always loved to sponsor contests but, as I have some groups to take care of, I don't have as much time to support contests in my own page...but 7 years is a great anniversary and I want to have a party!
