Longships Lighthouse in silhouette.

I was nearing the end of my walk along the coast from Land's End and I could see the clouds banding in the sky and the Sun beaming light down onto the ocean.

I was about 10 minutes walk from where I took this photo, about to set up another composition when I decided to leave that setup and make a dash for a good overlook of the lighthouse to see if I could catch a beam of light falling near to that spot.

Arriving at the location where I took this photo, I ended up with about 15 minutes to get a decent shot before the clouds bunched up and excluded the Sun's rays. I'm glad I left the other composition for another day!
