Art Nouveau commission forHis character: Connie Cat! I really love the concept for this character! A modern bespoke tailor or uses enchanted materials for her magic-savvy clients.
Ive been trying to finish this one for ages! Work and school just kept getting in the way. I am super pleased with the result though, enjoy!
More on the way! ... if college doesnt kill me first...

Hmm. How do you go about designing the inscriptions and banners around the characters? Seems to me they take at least the same amount of work as the character itself

the words themselves I find a font to lay out then I warp it/ redesign it how I like.
As far as the decorative designs and panels - you are correct, they honestly take more time then the characters themselves sometimes!
I usually use photoshop's shape selections to block out the outer borders of the panels, then I draw the designs in
