The guy definitely looks like he's running, but Riina doesn't, with her hand on the hip like that it looks more like she's stepping onto something and leaning forward to look at Tenma. Move the arm a bit so that it's in a running position and bam, she's racing

You catched the running pose for the guy well
And if you don't mind a word of advice: I think you could get Riina runnin with changing the position of her right arm. Either raising her lower arm or turning it beside her rather than front as it is now.
For me now it looks like Riina just stopped running and has her right leg up on a rock or a fallen tree and resting her arm on it, while Tenma is about to stop in one or two more steps.
Still fits really for the scene in the description so nothing to be embarassed about here ^^

The blending them in is really well done, it's the fact that you didn't make it yourself. Backgrounds are actually a lot easier then people make them out to be. xD

Maybe, to you, backgrounds are easy to make, but to some of us, they really are hard. I am not going to apologize for my picture not being as good as it could have been had I tried a little harder. That is not for you to say. I did try and I'm okay with using screen shots. Truth be told, I would much rather spend time working on coloring and shading then on drawing back drops. 
Though, I do have to add, it was a bit rude of you to point out that it could have been better.Β Β

He looks like he's running... but she does look more like she's about to start.
And this is an interesting side of Riina. I've seen her injured, smug, sexual, and chilling. But not competitive. Neat-o.

May have been out of character, but we all have OOC moments. One thing I also noticed was interesting (and it's not a criticism), but this is the largest I've seen her eyes. I think that's what changes her tone. Usually they're smaller, or at least less open. Here they're wide open. In conjunction with that grin (and those shark-teeth)... Definitely makes her seem more diabolical. Or at least cocky and self assured. It's fascinating. Especially compared to your avatar.

Yesh I noticed that as well! I think that's why people think she's older than she really is. I usually have her kinda squinting I suppose. It's fun to see her eyes wider in this pic. ^^
