Thanks! I wanted to have a lot of negative space here, and the rainbow trail would have really broken than apart, right down the center, which would have made things look too fractured and busy.

totally agree. i was looking at your gallery and the negative space concept sounds like a good series to pick up. It would be interesting to see how your use of line movement and rhythm would apply to other possible concepts.
you have a great style for scenery work and it can only get stronger

I have a few other ideas for MLP fanart that I intend to work on as soon as I get some free time.

I'm planning another Lyra image. This one will involve her standing on a cliffside, playing her lyre. It will take inspiration from several different (and wildly different) pieces of music.

I have an Applejack and Rarity comic that I want to get started on as well. Just a one page affair, featuring some rather lowbrow humor.

Both will involve some fairly detailed backgrounds, especially the Lyra image.

Rarity and AJ do have the makings to be a slapstick comedy team XDDD

I'll probably work on the Lyra piece first. Though I have some ideas for a Rainbow Dash piece at well. It would involve her standing on top of some very strange ruins situated in a flat, alien expanse. A very Jean Giraud/Moebius-esque image. It would also be inspired by one of the same pieces of music that will be the basis for the Lyra image.

The comic will take a bit longer than either of those.

If the comic turns out good enough, then I may do a few followups. It would be titled "domestic disputes", or something like that, involving A.J. and Rarity clashing on mundane, day to fay matters. Most of the jokes would involve A.J. doing something that Rarity considers improper, followed by Rarity just freaking out. I''ve thought of doing a comic or two featuring Vinyl and Octavia, along similar lines.

I've seen that episode! I think the altered Janeway and Paris lizards had a bunch of little lizards before the Voyager crew found them.

That episode has become infamous among some Trek fans. The absurdities are just so over the top that some fans consider it one of the worst episodes of the franchise.

I am personally not a big fan of Voyager. I like TOS, TNG and Enterprise.

TOS, TNG, and DS9 are my favorites. DS9 is probably my favorite Trek series overall.

DS9 had some memorable characters, like Quark, who always seemed to make me laugh. We also got to learn more about Klingon society in that series. I also liked the Cardassians Gul Dukat and Garek(the tailor guy). But overall, I don't count it among my favourite all time series.
