the thing i love about this one, is that Sarah is above Jareth. in most fanarts and Labyrinth imagery in general, Jaret is always over Sarah, Sarah cradling into him or something...and it just doesn't seem like Sarah to do that. So i really love this cus Jareth's leaning on her while she stands tall and happy. this is lovely

You have a dark gift - they're all so hauntingly beautiful. I don't think there's one of your pictures that I've come across that I haven't fallen in love with.

I'm glad it comes across in my work, since I spend way too much time thinking about it when planning these pics. They're relationship is eternally fascinating, there's just so many layers to them and how they interact with each other.

Thank you very much. I figured by the time these two can finally get around to getting married she would be older and maybe a little more mature. I wanted her to still have that ethereal quality that she had in the film, without relying on her youth to get it.

Thank you very much. I love the movie and the relationship between the two characters. It's weird though, I never really thought of them getting married. So it was really fun for me to attempt what their wedding could look like.

Nice, I like how the plants are wrapping themselves around the 2 and how Sarah's hair is wild. I think though Sarah would look better with a little bigger hips.

Thank you, yes the vines were there to tie them together symbolically as they wed. I wanted there to be a kind of wildness to the picture as the Labyrinth always struck me as the kind of place that has attractive darkness everywhere, and under everything that seems normal there is a wild untamed quality to it. I imagine if she were more voluptuous she would make a nicer juxtaposition to Jareth's form, as he's so tall and slender. I just tend to draw her really elongated. In this case it was to keep with the flow of the piece.

I love the flowiness that the picture has. There are really no harsh lines to speak of, it's wonderful! I like all the little details, like the feathers on her gown, and the little bird and mouse (or would that be rat?).

Mmmm I like that word...."flowiness." Nah we don't need harsh lines in the drawing, the characters have enough inside their personalities. I think it's a small rat. It was originally intended to be a mouse. Maybe it's a shrew....

Ha ha those vines nearly drove me to distraction. I was beginning to kick myself for drawing so many when I was shading them. I wanted to put more details into the background but my eyes and my hands decided that they had had enough and they put the kibosh and that kind of thinking. Isn't he just adorable....all tuckered out! I don't get many opportunities to draw him like that so it was fun. I think I wanted it to be lovely and charming but still be dark and twisted like the Labyrinth. I'm glad you like the costumes...I have bazillions of sketches of Labyrinth costumes stacked beside my table. It's a random hobby of mine coming up with costumes I'll never be able to make...le sigh. You do have a way of hitting the nail on the head my dear. The vines do indeed symbolize the ties that bind. I thought that was an appropriate symbol for a wedding. Vines/Chains it's all the same. I wanted to keep a balance in this one. I wanted Sarah (first of all) to get what seems to be the upper hand, but I didn't want him to be her lap dog either. I wanted to show how they are tied to each other without being mushy and most importantly I wanted to show a real relationship between them without needing to show them kissy facing or gazing into each other's eyes. They're seperate but still together here. It is a love based on power shifts, challenge, and equality. And now I've sworn of vines forever! Or at least a day....
