Hehehe. In the Netherlands (and only in the northern part) it froze 4 degrees last week.
Halfway (where I was) it was 7 degrees above zero. I have nay seen frost nor snow this winter

I love this vignette and it makes sense, too! Gorse is the heaviest, so he slid the furthest...unfortunately for him. He wasn't expecting the polar bear plunge.

This is picture is so cool, fun and cute. very nice and interesting to see how Anduruna looks all snowy. Its hilarious how Mace ended with his face full of snow when trying to sled down hill, and also like the detail of Vi and the twins looking from afar at the orphanage.

Yeah not all planks sled very well. And Gores is in big trouble now. He going to need to get back to a warm place and strip.
It would have to be really cold with relitivly calm waves for it to freeze over like that. But then the question. Is the ocean in the dream world salt water?

Well, I'm afraid it happens quite a bit up north - you can be walking through the snow drifts and accidently be walking on hidden ice lakes. At least the orphans know which part is beach. Okay, some of them do.

wow. i actually did all 3 of em. (not in the same year)
in a dare, i slid down into a snowy ramp. my sled caught the wind like a sail, and i face-planted into the snow. (even though he fell forward)
i was exited to use my new sled as a kid that i tried to use it on fresh new thin snow, but the grass caught the sled. (even though the snow is thick on the picture[if he is actually moving or not])
i slid my sled down my friend's hill and i broke into his creak.

This illustration has enhanced my experience with the series and appreciation of the characters due to the fact that I had finished reading Prelude. There is so much color in this festive illustration.
I'm currently with Hugo - making adjustments to a composition I'm about to share with the Beyond the Western Deep fans as well as the community who watch my work. Can't wait to share it. 
Anyways may you, Liz and the family have a Merry Christmas mate. Thanks for the awesome stories and I ever look forward to immersing myself in those stories some more...
(btw, I still haven't read DK Vol4, still waiting for that special kind of day to read it... Not till it rains in Summer over here in Perth, Western Australia!)... XXXD
