Since the start of Pokemon, dragon-types were the most overpowered. Consisting of 2 weaknesses: Ice types and Dragon types itself. And no typings have been added since Generation 2! After all these years, Nintendo finally gives dragon types another weakness and the community a new type! And ya know how a majority reacts?

And your point? People can eat a lot of things, but we don't do it. And please not that not all fairies are a few inches tall, some are the size of adult humans, and etc.

Excuse me? They're now equally powerful as the next guy! They have appropriate advantages and disadvantages. They were overpowered for way too long. Game Freak gave us so many new ideas and concepts, like new Pokemon forms/evolutions, character customization, new over-world abilities, and ways to evolve, and your letting a single new type ruin that all for you???? Sometime, I feel like Fairy kinda broke the Pokemon univers, even if the world building is lacking. We have Psychic-type that are able to survive in space thank to the psychic power, it is why most of the legendary Pokemon are Psychic-type. So, that mean that Fairy-type can survive in space with Magical ability? Fairy and Psychic are both opposite: Psychic use existant element while Fairy can appear thing out of nowhere. Fairy is the word that describing phenomenon that characters can't describe.
The Pokemon serie suffer from a lot of unbalance: weak Bug-type move againist Psychic-type, Dragon type is too powerful… That's why we have Fairy-type!
I love Fairy-type for the same reason as the Dark-Type: both use psychological tool to get what they want. Dark is more into psychological manipulation like Fake Tears and Flatter while Fairy use Charisma and Beauty like Dazzling Gleam and Play Rough. Both are the same face of the coin.
Some people copmplain that it should have been Love-Type... Heck, both Fairy and Love type has simular properties: weak to Poison, immune to Dragon, strong againist Dragon and Fighting...
But who care, I love Fairy-type for its psychological manipulation. (My favourite type is still Ghost-type)

I don't like the jokes of Fairy type they treat them as crazy dragon slayers, don't get me wrong i like the type but some of the jokes are not funny at all.

I also love fairy types, but I won't disrespect other people's opinions about it. And if I'm not mistaken dragon-types are also weak to ice and their-own type. I like all the fairy-type pokemon. But I'd say gardevoir is one of my main favorites

And yeah dragon-types did have two weaknesses but the problem with them as well was that they had a wide move pool(they can be taught so many TM moves) and basically large stats all around.

And people thought dragon types were op. Fairy types are fucking annoying, and most of them look gayer then Tingle in a tutu. Why are you so butt hurt over people disliking something that is stupid? Introducing long awaited Light and/or ???/Mystery Types would have been much cooler and there would very little or no complaining. But no, they had to go make the new type fairy of all things. Light wouldn't make any sense because Fighting is called Hero Type in Japan and Dark is called Evil Type in Japan. ( Those two Types already counter each other.)
