Description I love fantasy undead. And I loved the original Diablo's (TM) King Leoric (TM) as their version of a skeletal warrior lord. I just had to do my version for Mage Knight (TM). My twist though is to make him more samurai-ish in fighting style- but that's hardly apparent in the drawing. Still, a work I thoroughly enjoyed doing.

I finally got that scabbard fixed. Plus some smudge clean-up and slight enhancement, taking advantage of that.

Pencils. Scratch paper. Adobe Photoshop. MS Office Picture Manager.

Hmm, this is very interesting. I have a few qualms about the sword though: won't it be a little difficult to wield it samurai-style, given the length of the blade and handgrip? Of course, I would be willing to suspend my reality for a moment and think that it could, but it is a minor observation.

Yes, you do have a point about sword length and height - the taller the wielder, the longer the blade is allowed to be.

With regards to my observations, I am not a swordswoman, but I tend to have something of a sharp eye for that sort of thing. And yes, you do have a point about a longer sword having an extended reach, and the necessity to modify one's fighting style when using a sword with a longer blade.

And yes, I do realize that it is possible. Of course, one must be very careful: long blades also have the potentiality of becoming enemies even to their owners. But I suppose taht does not matter with the King now, does it?

Well, I'm neither Japanese nor a swordsman myself, so I guess we'll let our imaginations stretch things. Besides, the King's sword is straight, rather than curved like the katana- a big difference already in sword style.

It still might be possible, anyway... Sasaki Kojiro, archrival of the legendary Miyamoto Musashi, was known for having a sword of exaggerated length (he named it "Clothes Rod"). Besides the obvious reach advantage, he probably modified his sword techniques to account for and maximise the extra length.

The King's tall, also. It shouldn't be a problem for him.
