Description While viewing stock images I saw this white gown pose. I was fascinated by the image and for some reason liked the way the hem flowed like water. I went to the lake recently and took several shots just for this image as a study of water imaging and how to work water ripples and make images appear to be underwater. I am still learning and think that process will never end. I then was lost for a title or explanation. Naiads came to my mind and I did some research and yes I know they don't have wings at least not in Greek Mythology. My mind then switched to the insect world where I get most of my wings and like the queen bee who is dominate and dwarfs her workers I made this image a New Age Naiad. The lake goddess Limnatides (Greek name for lake naiad) sending her workers out protecting the lake. The Naiads I see can fly and do have wings and they can take human form and size and become invisible. ooohhh. This is so pretty, and you did a wonderful job making the dress seem underwater...actually I was trying to fugure out if she took the photo sitting in water untill I read the description...lol...well take care.

Thank you very much. I enjoyed working with her she had some beautiful stock images and loved the Faye pictures as I do. And yes I was trying to learn how to work water images or make things appear to be underweater

I think that was more of a venting thrugh an image instead of the normal verbal rant and it did get a lot off of my mind to express some of my and some of my friends feelings that some of us hide. Getting it out I think gave me some peace of mind. Hope you are doing well

Amy is an excellent model and photographer and for me nature and water images seem to draw me in and loved the research on this one didnt know there were so many fairie types

Yes I fianlly had got a vacation and was at a lake when I got the water shot and was so relaxed when I got home that image just seemed perfect for my mind at thet time peaceful relaxed

Most all the images I do are visions or dreams from the lady or me and your lady has beauiful images in her mind I love her and your works and I think I have found peace it is beginning to show in my images and youand her are both my Friends that will make whatever image she choses perfection

Amy and that gown was so beautiful and I was trying at that time to manipulate Images in water settings and a trip to a local lake gave me the background shots I needed. I had to do some reading on water nymphs and then had to deviate from the legends of the past but that was fun also.

I am still learning to work water images at least make them appear to be as real as possible and to meet the ladies in the graphics is something very special. I always send and request the ladies permission and any suggestions she may have even with stock images. That seems to bring a sense of accomplishment rather tha just post whatever I want.

Jeep this totally rocks i love how you did the water on her skirt is sooo works..my fav part is the lil fairy in the water and the ring you got around her looks great wish i could do water i just cann't seem to be able to do it... your bes piece yet jeep

Thanks hun I am still working the water the ring I dropped pebbles in the creek near here and kept shooting images till I got the ripple I needed then worked at blending that ripple color with the lake waters may be an easier way dont know but still trying to keep everything real as possible thanks again

Thanks hun it was more a water study see how far I can push the realism but I had a blast in the comments I have seen so many do you know what a nymph is or limiaiads or whatever so I made up new ones LOL the ones I see LOL love jeep

Thanks I love this image the gown just had me and worked image in head at least a month then found all kiinda problems in the names and mythology so then really had fun I will make new age fayes or nymphs heck everything changes and so should the myths LOL thanks hun
