A simple close up it may be, but this is a wonderful peice of art. You bring forth all of the different little hairs in the fur, show a bit of a tuft of mane, express realism in both the face and the eye, and even go as far to express things. I'm not sure if it was intentional, but it looks to me as if the horse is looking at a person due to the shading and highlighting in the eye, probably someone who it has lived with a long time and had grown accustomed to, as it would explain the more relaxed look in his or her eye.
Frankly speaking I love this peice and believe it deserves more views and comments than is already given right now. Keep up the great work, all the other peices look amazing as well, this one just happened to catch my eye a bit more.
