Description
3 female characters from various TMNT lore (aside from April, of course) that served, either in official capacity or through fan demand, as "the 5th Turtle" of the team:

- Venus: I'll admit, I was never really a fan of her character, but I can recognize her contributions and importance in THE NEXT MUTATION series as providing a fresh perspective on the Turtles and being something of a spiritual counsel.

- Mona: for only one appearance in the '87 cartoon, this character garnered quite a bit of popularity with the fan base and I'd heard that the show runners were toying with the idea of having her be a regular guest in the 8th season, but opted for Carter instead.

- Ninjara: although the Mirage comics were my favorite, I did appreciate quite a bit of the expanded TMNT mythology in the Archie run and Ninjara felt like a good romantic foil for Raph as well as a strong and competent ally. She also had quite a few good moments with the others (being a sympathetic ear to Splinter as he deals with his sons growing up, nursing Mikey back to health when he's blind).
