At work a few of us re-started a weekly "challenge" to practice modeling, texturing and rendering in a short amount of time..... basically just produce a model and final render of an agreed subject within the week. This is my image for "Gun".Reference many images of the Beretta 92fs for this...some details aren't in there.
Modelled in 3ds Max, rendered in mental Ray, with a tiny bit of post in Photoshop.

Very nice modelling! I would say that the grip is over textured...a more subtle texture would look better.

Thanks! I don't think the bump height is too inaccurate, but I would agree, the bump size of the bumps could be smaller for sure.
