Hey folks!I spent the better part of today debuting my Livestream channel with a triple-dose of art awesomeness. I sketched, inked, and colored this particular image on livestream.

This is an image of my original character, gamer and geek Ridley Duncan, dressed as Mario avoiding some Boos and gettin' some coin. Although it's not expressly "Halloween" in nature, it does have a costume quality about it, and the Boos make it fun-scary.
I hope you guys like it! I REALLY had a great time on the Livestream and I'm thankful to all who showed up, even those who only stuck around for a minute. I will invest in a mic so I can interact more with you guys and answer more questions and explain my process better. Thanks guys and gals!

Thanks! I actually created a custom brush that has that grainy look, and you can find a tutorial on how I made it here: [link]
Just be sure to play around with the settings and see what you can make it do beyond what I've shown you. ;D

I loved watching this. I wish I knew more about Photoshop so I could understand what you were doing. I was really interested in the final stages of the piece which gave the glow to the Boos and the coin. I can't wait to see more. I also was impressed with how quickly you inked the piece in Illustrator.

I only have one issue with Ridley's redesign. In all the newer works you've done of him, I tend to confuse his patch of beard for his mouth, since it is larger and contrasts more strongly against his skin in comparison to his mouth that consists of a smaller, thinner line which I feel like it looks like the bottom of the nose here.
It may just be me since I'm crazy and all haha, but I figured I'd point it out.
