I decided to head out to the Never Never at Gleniffer this afternoon. The sky was looking promising as I was driving inland, then when I stopped at the spot it started to pour down with rain. I decided to wait for it stop, so I sat in my car playing on my phone. After about an hour the rain stopped so I put my shoes on and headed for this spot, not expecting a rainbow but to my surprise I was blessed with this magical colour. It is my first rainbow I've been lucky to capture. As most of you know they don't hang around for long so I was lucky to get this shot. I really loved how sunset light lit up the tops of the tree, gave it a somewhat magical feel. It feels good to witness something so beautiful and pure. In summer I swim in these swimming holes so this shot means a lot to me. Enjoy.All images are Β©copyright Drew Nelson Hopper. Absolutely gorgeous. This is the best and most beautiful nature photo I have seen in a long time. The water looks so pure and I love the shape it takes as it runs across the rocks, with the light glistening off of it. Every aspect of this photograph; the banks, the smooth, polished rocks in the stream and the cluster at the end, the forest in the background with the stream leading into it, the rainbow amid the beautiful sunset colors, and the golden tips of the trees; everything comes together perfectly to make this a truly magnificent piece of art. Thank you for sharing this with us.

i had a special moment with a rainbow. im sad i didn't have a camera.
it was at a beach in massachusetts, and there was a fog bank roling in from the sea. you could see both ways down the beach, and i was alone but for two sailboats out in the harbour. they got lost in the fog, and you could only see the masts. i was swimming, and i came up for air, and suddenly there was this rtainbow right above me and it stretched for as long as i could see. a wonderful memory lost in time. thanks for helping me remember.

For a moment when I first saw the picture I thought for certain you'd manipulated the photo, nothing in nature's that pretty. And then I looked closer. Turns out it does get that pretty. Congrats on the DD and amazing shot!
