Very nice composition, mate, i like your space setup. I'm prolly in no position to give advices, I'm doing my own space art now, but I can only say what i would do differently, so here it goes, no pun intended.

I'd think the texture on the big planet (the greenish one) is too detailed and too shadowed (the crack) to resemble a planet from space. It's lightning's nice tho, maybe fading out too quickly.
Only other thing is the black outline on the purpl-ish planet, which make it seem like it's been cut out from somewhere and pasted in ^^ And the glowing around it, I would make smaller, meaning to make it seem more like a glow, to resemble atmosphere, not as an outline, as i see it now

One more thing, the small planet, has an outer glow all around it. that would be fine, were there not shadows on the back end. with them in place, it doesnt fit. i would either take the shadows out or the outer glow (the bottom-left side of the planet)

Now seriously, take whatever you want from this, it's just my thoughts. It's better than my space art however, haha. Though its true that i started being serious about Photoshop a week ago ^^.

Keep it up! I love your starfield

Hey, thanks for that. I do admit that I wasn't too sure about the full glow around the small planets. The further planet shouldn't have a glow on the back side (it looks like a moon of the closer planet ) because there is no lighting to make it glow and the purple one needs to be brighter because it's the closest planet's moon so would get a reflection from the planet to light it up at the bottom.

What I'm thinking of doing is adding some craters to the moons next time to make them look like moons

I see what you mean about the green planet, it doesn't look too earth like with huge cracks in it, I should use different stock or make a texture up next time.

Thanks again for the pointers, I appreciate it.

hah, thanks for understanding... there's a lot of ppl here wanting just to trash each other, i just expressed my feeling about it and am glad u took it that way. Do as u see fit, it's your art, it's only you, that it is representing

And since that was my 2nd spacescape, no doubt I'll improve after a few more artworks
