From a badly needed day on Assateague Island National Park, Maryland, where a herd of feral horses roam the pristine white sand dunes, along with the occasional family with cameras....This pic was from hundreds of shots that day, these were my favorites from the series:

Wow. This takes me back to when I was a kid and read all the "Misty" and other wild pony stories by Marguerite Henry. And I wanted to go to Pony Penning Day and buy a pony at the auction. ("It's small, I can keep it in the back yard!")
Did you ever see the movie made of "Misty"? It's horrible, it needs a decent remake. Maybe Misty could team up with Seabiscuit to fight crime. They'll get cybernetic bodies and kick butt on the mean streets of Santa Anita.
