I struggled with the coloring, its not that great P: I kinda used this moment to work on some more detailed anatomy.

woah, if that's bad colouring, then I can't colour at all (which I can't anyways, which is besides the point) But that is excellent! And have you used some kinda texture on it? Also the anatomy is good, tho the neck seems to get wider towards the top (or vice versa) not sure if that's what it's meant to do tho.

I like the shiney bits in you put in the red of the inside wings, belly, underbelly and tail spikes. I like the red guyliner can I call it guyliner? I mean the red under his eyes ^_^
I think the texture filter works well with the pic too.
I agree if I dare say so myself I think he looks smexy ehehehe =>
The spike ball looks cool and threatening it looks great ^^
