La maschera del galeone
A real Venice hand made product. Artists have realized and decorated it in full respect of artisan traditions and original designs developed in Venice together with "COMMEDIA DELL'ARTE" during the late 17th Century.
Thats written on the card behind the blue mask.

Took it with a Canon EOS 450D + 50mm f/1.4 lens and a filter. Not sure which one it was, I think a CPL.
Retouched in PS CS3.

This is a very beautiful photo! I consider this idea, seems as if I had traveled back in time! It is carnival time and I'm in Venice! Surrounded by the beautiful and mysterious characters, and music plays everywhere and it is fantastic! Just amazing beautiful masks, so ornamental and colorful supplements that are a pleasure to watch them!
Beautiful composition! Otherwise I would have changed the angle a little so that the top of the mask fit better picture! Now it feel somehow cut, but it's just my humble opinion! At the background show other masks and other objects that support the masks in front page and create an interesting package! Beautiful light feel as if it were from a fireworks display, a powerful but at the same time soft and in some way romantic! As Shakespeare had said: β God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.βI think it is a good saying and perfect match to this wonderful picture! Fantastic work! Bravo!

Amazing composition! Once upon a time the original Venetians mask were made in artisan old laboratory, now is almost all in plastic made in China...

Wow, beautiful 
There is something wonderfully compelling and mysterious about this image; I love the crispness of it and the slightly muted yet still vivid colours. The dark background is particularly nice as it gives me the feeling that thereβs something else hiding behind the masks, as if they have souls of their own. I like the way the blue mask at the top is slightly turned away and the pink mask is facing you. It makes me think of people in a crowd.

This is so exquisite. I love masks. For years I had a collection. Some large and beautiful ones. Once while I was away from my house, they were all stolen. That was 10 years ago. I was so heartbroken because many of them had been gifts from family and friends.
I wasn't going to start collecting them again, but my daughter got me one last year. She siad she thought it was time I started my collection again. So I have one now.
Truly beautiful work. I love the colors and I also love the placement
