In the morning after his time travel with Dr. Simon Petrikov’s time car, Finn Mertens saw how much his family’s condition have improved. He is also very happy the doctor in the past took the advise to put on the bulletproof vest. Time traveling to and back from 30 years in past was indeed risky beyond measure, but the reward is certainly well worth the risk. He opened up his garage and was ready to take his new pickup truck for a spin...

Phoebe: Nice truck, how about a ride?

Finn: Phoebe! Darn, you are a sight for sore eyes!

Phoebe: Um..you alright? You acted like you haven’t seen me for a week!

Finn: Yeah...I mean... it FEELS like I haven’t seen you for a week, that’s how much I missed you!

Phoebe: Heh ha, you are such a dork!

*While they were sharing a kiss, an explosion was heard and the time car appears on the driveway! Simon then comes out from the car and greets the couple!*

Simon: Finn! Phoebe! I just came back 30 years from the future and I got something for you two! Here! Don’t open the document until you two get married at least!

Finn: Huh? Why? What is going to happen with us, did we turned out to be bad peoples or something worse?

Simon: No, you two turned out alright, this is about your children!

Phoebe: Hold on, didn’t you said you came back 30 years from the future?

Simon: Yes, that is correct!

Phoebe: Why don’t you just...take us to the future then? I want to see what happened to us!

Finn: Yeah! So am I!

Simon: Oh no! I am afraid that’s not how it works!

Phoebe: Why not?

Simon: If I simply taking you both 30 years into the future, that means you both will be missing for 30 years! The future I saw to tell you would be drastically different!

Finn: Doc! I don’t understand!

Simon: Remember the experiment we did at the parking lot with my dog in my time car? We sent my dog one minute into the future. They both disappeared for exactly one minute! Now imagine if you ran into a future that has been without you for 30 years! No one there will likely recognize you, let alone seeing your future.

Phoebe: Hmmm, I get it! If you take us to the future, we won’t get to see our future selves because we are gone from the present due to our time travel! Right?

Simon: Precisely! Everyone is supposed to make their own future. The only way to change your future lies on the decision you are making now, which is why I am giving you this. It is meant to guide you to a better future.

Finn: Thanks...that was heavy!

Simon: Now don’t be sad! Remember I always wanted to write tales about the Old West? We can go to back to the Wild West era and check them out!

Finn: An adventure in the Wild West does sound interesting! You want to come along with us, Phoebe?

Phoebe: So we are going to ride horses instead of truck for our date?

Simon: Yep! Saddle up you two! To the Wild West we go!

The three goes in to the time car and embark their new adventures!
