You know, I really like The Swan Princess. Is it a great movie? Not really. Is it a bad movie? Not at all. It's very cute, with some nice songs, and some beautiful animation. It's great fun, and I do think it deserves a little more recognition than it gets.
It's also a rare case where I like the prince better than the princess. Odette is nothing compared to Derek.
FYI: The Swan Princess is often mistaken for Disney. It is NOT Disney. You guys know I love Disney, but this movie is Columbia/Tristar (or, if you really wanna get nit-picky, Nest Entertainment). Please credit people's work properly. Would you like it if your hard work was credited to someone else? I don't think so.
Anyway, I thought I'd try something different with this one. Colored lines again, but with painting rather than cell-shading. It's a cool effect, I think (took longer, though).
I realized that I had only done two other couples kissing, so I figured it was time to do another kissing couple. :^)
And it's been a while since my last night scene, so there you go!
Oh! And I put Odette in her red dress, because I like that one best. She was only pictured in it for like... thirty seconds, but I loves it.

Augh, yuuus! The Swan Princess ISN'T spectacular but I DO loathe all the flac it gets (I feel like I possibly spelled that word wrong). But...you honestly like DEREK more than ODETTE?! I mean, Odette isn't an amazingly developed princess -- I'd take a Tiana or an Anastasia over her anyday -- but...Derek's just soooo....plain. And...well...I mean, maybe it's just me, but he seemed a little...dense. Beyond dense. I mean, he's very dashing and he means well, but the poor boy just doesn't strike me as very complex. Like if I had to choose an animated hero to come save me...well...let's just say he'd be about 2nd to last on my list of preferences. Only just before Snow White's prince.
BUT that does not take away from how adorable this picture and the movie are, and how much I am LOVING your gallery!

I guess he just never seemed to actually change to me! He just kinda seemed like he started out dense and ended up slightly-less-dense but still one shot short of a load. But I also probably shouldn't be one to talk, seeing as how I have a ridiculous, irrational, unreasonable love for Draco Malfoy.
