I love Thumbelina. It's such a sweet little movie.
It deserves more love. No, it deserves a lot more love. <:^)

It has a lovely story (that is really, really close to the original story), adorable characters, gorgeous animation, good songs...
I think that a big reason why this movie didn't do so well when it first came out is because it was 1994. The same year as The Lion King. And it was only five years after The Little Mermaid came out (which is another Hans Christian Andersen story, and also starring Jodi Benson).
So, gee, it's like comparing Salieri to Mozart. Salieri is good and all... he just has to compete against flippin' Mozart.
And you all know how Disney was on fire in the nineties and late eighties. So, the great Don Bluth films were just in the shadows. <:^(

ANYway. I love Thumbelina. Like, a lot. It makes me laugh, makes me go 'aww', and it's got some very nice songs. C:

Ehehehe. It was kind of a given that I would love Thumbelina and Cornelius. Besides their adorable relationship and personalities, just look at 'em! Their designs are to die for.

Well, I think I've run out of things to say.
