Okay, I know I say this about almost everything I submit...but this took such a long time to complete. I think the sketch was finished in January, and then I kept avoiding coloring it because I wasn't sure how I wanted it to look. But I think it turned out okay. There are a few things I want to change, but I am not a good enough artist to accomplish what I want to do.This is a tribute to a little film called "Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland". It's quite whimsical. I have fond memories of watching it as a child. Except the Nightmare King. He used to scare the crap out of me.

From a fan's standpoint, I loved the movie and everything about it. It was the perfect childhood movie to grow up with. From an artist's standpoint this is a pretty good piece of work right here. I fell ike you captured the essence of the movie right here. Finally from a critic's standpoint I feel that this could have used a bit more work in some areas, but is otherwise a very good work of art. By the way I feel the same way about the Nightmare King. I honestly went to another room in panic when I first heard his voice and saw his image.

Oh thank you for the comment. Very nice. I definitely felt there was something lacking, especially in the top and bottom parts, things I didn't know how to do then, but I might be able to do now

Yeah, Nightmare King was scary as hell! *shivers* I still can't watch the scenes including him without trembling (I don't know if that's pathetic or just normal XDDD)

I love Little Nemo!
I remember watching it as a kid over and over.
This piece is very well drawn but it looks unfinished. It looks a like it could be a stained glassed window. If I were you. I'd play around with it in photoshop.
