Description
So this is a project that has been stagnating in my sketchpad for about two months. I had wanted to do six non-Disney couples to combat the six regular Disney couples that are plastered all over everything. And the couples I chose were from my favorite non-Disney cartoons:Crysta and Zak – FernGully
Odette and Derek – The Swan Princess
Thumbelina & Cornelius – Thumbelina
Kayley and Garrett – Quest for Camelot
Anastasia and Dimitri – Anastasia
Annie and Dean – The Iron Giant
But as you can see, I only got to the first three of em. I'd still like to finish the picture, but the last three are giving me a hard time. Which is a shame, because Anastasia and Dimitri are one of my all time favorite couples anyways, animated or otherwise. And just for the record, out of these three, I would say Thumbelina gets the best man. Derek, poor guy, is just an idiot, and I always preferred Pips to Zak (though Pips DOES kiss Crysta in the novel. Woo!).

I'm pretty sure Anastasia was from Disney... and somehow I think also The Swan Princess, but I'm not sure! oh, the nostalgia, xD!

Anastasia and The Swan Princess were not made by Disney, but by people that wanted to make films similar to Disney, and I'd say they did a little too good of a job

From these three I've only seen The Swan Princess which is always loved and something I miss watching.

Odette was always my faveourite Princess, I think FernGully is beyond awesome, and despite being 15 I ALWAYS cry at Thumbelina!

oh yes, FernGully was actually based on a book by Diana Young ([link] ). I didn't know this until I read the credits years later, and I had to go buy it!
