I hadn't done a classic movie couple in a while, so it was time to jump back into them!

It's Ellie (Claudette Colbert) and Peter (Clark Gable) from the 1934 classic It Happened One Night.
It was kinda nice doing a more simple portrait work again. It was also nice working in black and white again~ I've never drawn either of these guys before--that was a mini adventure~! I think I might've pushed the caricature on Mr. Gable's face a little too much, but eh. I like him this way.

Never seen It Happened One Night? WELL. You're missing out. >:^0
I guess if you only watch one scene to this movie, I'd have to recommend the hitchhiking scene: [link] It's constantly parodied for a reason, you know.

Holy cow, I never thought I'd find a picture of these two! Saw the movie in Cinema History, and I fell in love with it. It's amongst one of my personal favorites, these two were perfect for each other. They look almost Disney-eque here, and I love it.

So happy to have stumbled upon your Couples Collection, you're very talented.

Well, you did a great job on the likeness because when I saw the thumbnail, my first thought was Gone With the Wind because I recognized Clark Gable. Awesome job, and very cute picture! ^^

At first I thought it was ''The Artist'' fanart because of his mustache and her hairstyle, but reading the description, it's Clark Gable! I just adore the Noir look to it and black-and-white tones, it definitely gives you the feel of that Old Hollywood classic style. I watch TCM 24/7, and although I'm not a huge Clark Gable fan, I love old movies!

Actually, I saw that movie and loved it. I also loved Gable in The Misfits, surprisingly. I didn't think I would like it.
