It's officially been more than one year since I started my Couples Collection. This is the thirty-second one I've done.
And I still don't feel like stopping. I've learned and improved so much by doing this collection. Oh, and you know it's totally fun.

Leslie Caron and Gene Kelly as Lise and Jerry from An American in Paris. One of my top favorite musicals ever. George and Ira Gershwin + Gene Kelly + Leslie Caron = Pure Magic.

If you're only going to see one scene from this movie, let it be the American in Paris Ballet: [link] (not the whole thing, but since this sequence is seventeen minutes long I can understand why)
There are so many great dance and song numbers in this movie. If I were to link to all of my favorite parts... I'd end up posting most of the movie. X3
This was Leslie Caron's very first movie. She was hand-picked by Gene Kelly for this role. Cyd Charisse was originally going to play opposite Kelly, but she became pregnant, and couldn't do it. I love Charisse, but it just wouldn't have been as good without Caron. She's just too cute. She's wonderful in this movie.

For this one, I decided to be daring, and try out colored lines. I LOVE the effect, but damn, it took forever. And, since I was being daring, I thought I'd take it a step further and do the background differently than I normally would--that hazy style I've played with a little bit. I'm not sure the two meshed quite as well as I had hoped, but I'm still very, very happy with this one.

I'll just end this by saying that Jerry and Lise are adorable, and they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. <:^3
