honestly, with the way this world is set up and the king having a surprising authority over the Dark Lord, I'm actually picturing this disney-villain style.Β Every great villain needs a great hero to play off of.Β A peter pan to one's hook.Β I'm thinking the dark lord sees a worthy opponent for the future.
(Plus a hero will be too honorable to go for the ankles)
