More kiddies! Or kitties, in this case.
I got The Aristocats for Christmas. We haven't owned the film since the days of VHS (I think we had it on VHS.... We may have only watched it on TV). It's so great to watch it with an adult mind, and to see it in beautiful clarity. Not Disney's strongest story, but the characters make it a win for me.

The kittens are named after famous French figures, and even carry some of their personalities
Marie = Marie Antoinette (a female activist that is feminine but tough as rocks)
Berlioz = Β composer Hector Berlioz (loves playing the piano, and is very good at it)
Toulouse = painter Toulouse Lautrec (odd, imaginative, and loves to paint)

Oh, now you made me go all emotional! Aristocats was the first disney movie I ever watched, and for a long time the only one. I was six years old and I FELL IN LOVE but I stopped rewatching it thrice every year when I was nine and haven't seen it since. Sad. But those memories...

I saw this movies during the Holidays jist like you did (along with the Great mouse detecive). It's awas alos the first time I've seen it in years.
Yeah, the movies wasn't one of Disney's greatests but it as still a charming movie. Plus, it was the final project Walt Disney aproved of before he died.
