Description Say what you will about wolves, altruism and generosity are not what people think when they think “wolf.” (Usually it’s something like “wild”, “magnificent”, “awesome.”) Dogs, however, get this label pretty quickly. They are called “Man’s Best Friend” for a damn good reason. Characterizing this would make for a culture that takes devotion, honor, and loyalty unbelievably friggin’ serious, so much so that it would put a wolf pack to shame. Characterizing the ferocity of wolves would make for a more savage culture; among dogs, there’s room for discourse when everyone knows that the real alpha walks on his hind legs, and there's probably more than one of them. Mankind might have made dogs stupid in the eyes of wolves, but kamikaze are stupid AND terrifying no matter how you paint them.

The concept of dogs defending what mankind has set them to is “unfair” in the eyes of wolf comic heroes. Which, for pure story, makes perfect sense. To a wolf, dogs are some kind of traitor, guarding a surplus, and that’s just damn greedy. Seriously, dog, what the hell’s your problem?

Conversely, to a dog, wolves represent the unknown, the thing that frightens their humans, and the things that invade their territory to steal stuff or pee on it. Dogs have the same instinct as a wolf: protect what’s yours for the sake of the pack. Is it my fault my pack is hairless and deformed and happens to cook really good food?

But I dare you to guess which side weighs in more morally correct in a wolf comic.

I don't think i understand this page very well, do they mean they will go and fight the wolves untill the humans come to finish them (the wolves) off, or are they going to try and move the herd away to save the humans food?

I think they're meaning they're holding the wolves back, like killing the wolves, but in doing so they could die themselves.

Lol, man I think your comments are the only real reason I bother reading this^^. I'm still not really following, it doesn't seem like a flowing story to me and the black and white is confusing. I loved one of the previous pages, I thought it was epic. Even so, I'm lovin' it so far even if I have no idea what's going on or who is whoXP. Keep it up, and yay for deformed hairless packs with cooking skillzXD.

I love how you portray the dogs. In their natural behavior they portray the kind of hero I think needs to be brought out in our society.

I was really suprised by your comic. I was foolish enough when I started to not read the describtions. I thought it was another wolf comic that made the wolf a hero no matter what, and even if it was I probably would still bear with you on it. However, when I got to page 5 and saw that poor dog with her pups and read the descibition I was shocked and quite taken into your story. I really hope you continue this because, while I don't mind wolves as heroes, it's definatly a nice change to find a story with them as the villians for once.

I'm waiting to see if one of the wolves gets its head kicked in by a cow before the dogs even reach them.

I love Livestock Guardian dogs, they're so gentle and nice to their herd/pack/family, but fiercely protective and powerful at the same time.

I'm actually waiting for the man to heroically come out of nowhere to headshot one of the wolves.

Oh I'm so mean

I realized as soon as I posted that^^, it could be taken as a mockery of the thrust of your statement.
Not intended that way at all. I completely agree.
