Description This is the M-499while firing. You can see its recoil system in action, trying to keep the weapon from tearing the users arm off.
The recoil system uses 3 parts... The first is the draw back of the floating barrel. Not only is this used to increase the accuracy of the weapon, and resetting the magnetic firing pin, it also saves the user from a hospital visit. As the barrel blows back into the weapon, it dissipates the massive kinetic energy from the round before it enters the stock. This is when step 2 begins. The stock is on a rail connected to a big compression spring. This movement further dissipates the energy. The fine part is the bi-pod. The diagonal connectors to the main bi-pod are air pistons. the 4 little holes running down them are air valves that allow air in quick, but releases it slowly, which creates resistance. This resistance helps limit the guns reverse traveling.
Well now you know how the recoil system works so here are some fun facts... The standard 30mm round fired by the M-499 has gained the nick name "bugs bunny" by EDF sniper teams due to the fact that on occasion the force of the round has caused the front of the weapon to jump up 1/2 foot or so before settling back down to the ground.

Made using PMG.

the armor gets thicker, the bullets get bigger and the kickback can blow you off a cliff

very nice design, and i can imagine that you need 3 man to carry this set: i guess the gun itself weighs a good 25kg (or more) and the ammo about 2-3kg / each, so if you want some supply, its gonna break yer back if you got only 2 man xD

i love the way you drew the reloading action and the firing action, they look really realistic!
