Adarna was an experiment run by Team Rocket to create a pokemon with immense special and physical attack, as well as the speed of an Archeops, but without the burden of its Defeatist ability. They decided to counteract this by injecting the extracted Archen DNA into a Mareep egg. The fusion was a success, as the scientists feared failure due to the gap in egg groups of the two pokemon. The little fusion mostly took after Archen's posture, and hatched with the ability. There were only a few drawbacks to the experiment, however, as Adarna hatched with the rock type, making her incredibly vulnerable to Ground type attacks and her Calm nature decreased the strength of her physical attack stat.
The experiment wasn't a total loss, however, as her moves still proved to be fairly powerful, even with her somewhat limited speed. She eventually evolved into an Archen/Flaafy, and finally an Archeops/Ampharos, and she was transferred to the Sinnoh Rocket branch, entering as a Bronze rank recruit.
Move Set:
Dragon Pulse - The target is attacked with a shock wave generated by the user's gaping mouth.
Thunder - A wicked thunderbolt is dropped on the target to inflict damage. This may also leave the target with paralysis.
Rock Slide - Large boulders are hurled at the opposing Pokémon to inflict damage. This may also make the opposing Pokémon flinch.
Dragon Claw - The user slashes the target with huge sharp claws.
