UH.i am suffering from a horrible artblock. i wanted to do SOMETHING, even without a passion for doing it... i was looking for ideas and then i did this.it's 's stock photo i painted over. i also blatantly copied with the idea of using my own scanned hair in the picture.
and brushes. mine, prettybrush and misprintedtype.

This looks so nice! I adore your use of textures for the blood, especially on the knife. The scanned hair is a really nice idea too, I like how you added it because its not glaringly obvious that its not digitally created - it blends very well with the rest of the drawing :]

I think the scanned hair looks really lovely and maybe more.. personal. I love the textures in the shading and I think that hand is really well drawn, hands are so hard ):

I took a look at the stock photo to see just what was done and I must say that I really like the result.
The colours are very beautiful, and the texture of the hair, tangled near on the sides and yet whispy and soft looking in other places.
I like the way that you did the bruises and the blood, it makes it so real feeling. The stains/shines/texture/colouring/prettymu cheverything on the knife are really awesome.
I hope your artblock goes away soon!

The shade of blood is spot on. Very realistic. You added your own flair to it though.
