Actually this makes a lot of sense - when charging a tablet, it often won't accept a generic charger instead of the official one as the voltages/amps are slightly off by a tiny fraction. Its possible that this is the case with the new power source and with a slight tweaking, it could be made to be accepted as an "official" Jupiter power source
Of course as he can't feel anything beneath the neck, it might be an opportune moment to repair the hole in his side without any pain.
