Description My Dad used to read us Greek Myths as bed time stories instead of stuff normal people get... like Good Night Moon. XD Little did Dad know he was making us into freaky geeks.

ANYWAY, this is my Christmas gift to my sister, ~Dragonrose36 .
I was going to add more color, but Jackie and I thought it looked more cool with only the flame colored. :3

I'm sorry it's cartoony and un-epic. I'm no trompe l'oeil artist.

I couldn't wait to submit it, because I won't be here Christmas day.

Here's the mythology club: #Myths-and-Legends Go join!

it's better to be a nerd than a fashion-enslaved preppie
and THAT is why I like mythology better than fantasy: mythology has a "historic" base, fantasy has no bondaries, it leads to aberrations such as vampires that shine under the sunlight xP

colouring only the flame was definetly a good idea I love that warm tone

I like, it conveys the, "Oh Crap, Oh Crap!" kinda emotion you would get from stealing from gods

Ladies and gentlemen, tonight the part of Prometheus will be played by Alan Rickman

I really like this depiction of the old Prometheus myth. The use of orange tones, the sketchiness of the lines, and art style just really work for it in a way I can't really explain.

Ooh, trompe l'oeil! Yet another term that was on my art test. I'm feeling mighty pleased with myself for some reason.

I noticed your cartoony style in this picture is more exaggerated than usual, and I think that's just wonderful. Let's see Andrea Mantegna make something like this! Oh wait... he's dead.

Knowing art stuff is always cool. Especially if you watch MST3K. They make artist jokes all the time! XD

Maybe if I get more and more cartoony, I'll somehow end up on the other side of the spectrum with Mantegna!

My mom's a Latin/Classics teacher, so I grew up knowing a lot about Greek Mythology. Good work!

Prometheus was always one of my favorites. Right after Eros and Aphrodite!

I love this, it makes me laugh. And I like Zime's cartoony style way more than I like most realism!

I love his expression, it's almost Loki-like.

Misty loves this! His face is just too darn cute. ^,^
And I'm very glad you left it without color--it's more artistic~!

Thank goodness someone else was read Greek Myths by their father! I thought I was the only one!

I like your depiction of Prometheus- he isn't perfect and handsome, he seems more human than I expected. And also very furtive, since he's stealing away the fire

Hoorah!

Prometheus isn't human. He's too human! That's what makes him a God.

Thank you!

What a shifty looking fellow.
I really like the shading in the background to give the illusion of light.
